Jim is currently Vice Chairman of JP Morgan Securities Australia, covering all areas of the Investment Banking business in Australia. He also holds a number of strategic advisory and principal roles, including Chairman (inaugural) of Infrastructure Victoria and Vice Chairman of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia. He is a former Executive Director of Macquarie Capital, Head of Macquarie Bank’s ANZ Infrastructure Business and Member of the Macquarie Capital’s Australian Management Committee. He was also a member of Macquarie Group’s Asset and Liability Committee leading up to the financial crisis. During the course of a 21-year career at Macquarie, Jim led over $120b of transactions. His experience was primarily in the infrastructure sector, but also spanned the property, telecommunications, media, technology, finance, industrials and resources sectors. Jim lived in various parts of the world during his time at Macquarie and led transactions in both an advisory and principal capacity involving counter-parties from ANZ, Asia, North America and Europe. Jim holds a Masters of Economics from Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
