Nick was a Senator for Tasmania for 22 years and Federal Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law, Assistant Treasurer and Small Business Minister. He is currently the Chair of FNZ (APAC), a leading funds management technology company that delivers platform solutions to superannuation funds and other financial service providers. Nick has worked as a Senior Advisor, Global Pensions and Superannuation for Citigroup and EY, and as an independent director of Spotless (ASX: SPO).

As a member of the OECD Irish Pension Study Group and the Steering group on Social Security at the World Economic Forum, Nick has contributed to the global development of public policy and industry practice in Defined Contribution pension systems. He has served as an adviser to Insurance Ireland on Pension Reform and as Governor of the Pension Policy Institute (UK). Nick is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also Chair of the NGO Youth, Family and Community Connections (Tasmania).
