Deborah Ralston has been named chair of Household Capital's advisory board.

Ralston is active in the financial services director space, having held board positions with U Ethical, Kaplan Australia, the SMSF Association, and Allianz Retire+. She was previously the chair of ASIC's digital finance advisory committee and sat on the Mortgage Choice board for more than 13 years.
As an academic, Ralston has been a professor of finance and fellow at Monash University since 2009. She previously held roles at the University of Canberra, the University of the Sunshine Coast, and the University of Southern Queensland.
"I'm excited to join Household Capital in delivering widespread, responsible, long-term access to home equity retirement funding to show how Australia can lead the way in meeting the housing and funding challenges of an aging population," said Ralston.
She replaces outgoing chair Jack Diamond on the Household Capital advisory board.
