David joined Household Capital in 2017 originally responsible for Household's credit and funding operations. More recently David has served as the company's Chief Risk Officer leading the firm's capital and actuarial operations, including the structuring and ratings of the company's loan various funding facilities.
Prior to joining Household Capital, David was the Chief Executive Officer of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd a NYSE listed company [NYSE: ENH]. He joined Endurance Specialty in 2001 and served in a number of roles including Chief Risk Officer, Chief Actuary, President of Endurance Specialty Bermuda and Chief Underwriting Officer.
In the early part of David's career, he worked as a consulting actuary at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin in New York, [now Wills Towers Watson], and later with Centre Reinsurance, a Zurich Financial Services subsidiary, where he launched Centre Life Finance - Centre Solutions’ senior settlement financing company.
David has served as a director and advisor to a number of international financial organisations. These included serving as a director of the Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited, a member of the Board of Ad visors for the re-insurance investments of Hudson Structured Capital Management, and has a founding board member and Chairman of the Bermuda Business Development Agency.
David received an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
