Garry played a seminal role in establishing Australia's industry superannuation movement while at the ACTU in the 1980s. He became the founding Chair of several leading funds and founded Industry Fund Services (IFS) in 1994. Garry recently retired as Chair of IFM Investors, Industry Super Holdings, and The New Daily, and previously chaired ME Bank. A foundation member of both Infrastructure Australia and Melbourne's Docklands Authority, he is now a Senior Advisor with Tanarra Capital.
